Welcome to my website. I am an educator at Tennessee Tech University. I have a PhD in Public History and I teach American history survey courses along with digital history and public history courses. I also love traveling. There is nothing quite like experiencing the world on a first-hand basis. I hope you’ll enjoy the site. Experiencing Society and Culture
As a social and cultural historian, I love traveling when I get the opportunity. I live and work in the Upper Cumberland area in Middle Tennessee but have been fortunate enough to travel domestically and to at least eleven foreign countries. Having traveled to some fascinating locations around the world, I can say with certainty the Upper Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee has some of the most scenic landscapes and most unique culture of any place on the globe. Experiencing new places always provides new perspectives and insights to society and culture. The map below shows some of the locations I have had the opportunity to explore.
